Pictures....LOTS of pictures (and a few words ;))

Last night I received 50...yes 50, pictures of Ann-Jolie from her birthday!

We had arranged for a cake to be sent and sent a package with a picture album of the family (aunts and uncles included) and the house so that she could begin to be prepared for what awaits her.

I have been stalking my email since the 15th waiting for these pictures, because I wanted to see her expression when she looked at the pictures.

What I saw was a little girl with a lot to think about...

I have known and am prepared for a little girl who is happy that she has a family, but that will be scared, too.

I can only imagine what's going through that pretty little head of hers as she sees our caucasian faces and the pictures of our house and car...So much to take in...So much to process...

The reality of the fact that, like it or not, these people will be your family.

(Of course I'm hoping for the "like it" part of that statement)

We have been praying that God would be preparing her heart and mind for what is about to come.

While it will inevitably be scary at first, I pray that she feels our love and feels secure with us even before we come home to the States.

So here are those pictures...While you look at them, please join us in prayer for our little girl, that she would be ready mentally and emotionally when we arrive to get her...That the peace of God would surround her little heart and mind as she ponders a new, unknown life...
